Disney's Oceaneer Lab on the Disney Magic is a children's activity center located on Deck 5, Midship. Open from approximately 9:00 a.m. to midnight daily, Disney's Oceaneer Lab is the ideal place for children 8 to 10 years of age to play games, use the computer lab, perform educational experiments and enjoy a wide variety of supervised activities throughout the day. Operating hours vary occasionally, so check your Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—while onboard for operating times. Inspired by Disney•Pixar's Toy Story films, Disney's Oceaneer Lab is a futuristic and fun setting starring a larger-than-life Buzz Lightyear and other characters from the hit movie series. Featuring dazzling planetary spheres, twinkling fiber-optic stars and interactive lab stations, Disney's Oceaneer Lab is a fantastic haven for children to learn, play and interact with others while Mom and Dad are on their own adventure. Disney's Oceaneer Lab includes:  A computer lab with child-friendly computers Interactive K'New playroom Science lab A reading area Lounge area Multiple televisions An endless supply of toys, games and Disney movies make Disney's Oceaneer Lab the perfect oasis at sea. Disney's Oceaneer Lab counselor-to-child ratio is one counselor to every 25 children. Dining at Disney's Oceaneer Lab Children are invited to enjoy lunch and dinner at Disney's Oceaneer Lab, which can be especially convenient for parents looking for some alone time at Sessions, Quiet Cove Pool or elsewhere. Parents must simply be sure to check in their children at least 15 minutes prior to the start of lunch or dinner. Additionally, snacks and beverages are served throughout the day. Registration and Check-In You can register your child for Disney's Oceaneer Lab at the terminal or once onboard the ship. When boarding the ship on Embarkation Day, both children and parents must check in at the front desk at Disney's Oceaneer Lab, on Deck 5, Midship. During this confirmation process, parents will fill out final paperwork and receive a pager in the event the counselors need to make contact. Children will receive a wristband indicating that that they are part of Disney's Oceaneer Lab, in addition to important information such name, age group, stateroom number and medical information. During the registration process, parents are invited to tour the facility, meet the counselors and learn more about the many activities offered. Children with Special Needs Children with special needs are welcome at Disney's Oceaneer Lab. Simply let our counselors know in advance and we will accommodate the best we can. Activities at Disney's Oceaneer Lab Disney's Oceaneer Lab hosts a wide range of age-appropriate activities for children 8 to 10 years of age. Check the Personal Navigator for specific dates and times of activities while onboard. Although subject to change, activities at Disney's Oceaneer Lab for children may include:   Ratatouille Cooking School Join a specially trained cookie chef, and learn how to make chocolate chip cookies fit for Remy himself. Have fun helping friends, adding lots of different ingredients and in the end, creating your very own cookies straight from the Ratatouille restaurant magic oven.   Goofin' Around with Animation Kids explore the history of animation and learn animator secrets as they draw one of their favorite Disney characters and create their own flipbook to take home.   Disney's Kim Possible: Cruise Control Join forces with Kim, Ron and Wade to foil Dr. Drakken's evil plan to return the ship to Port Canaveral and turn Castaway Cay into "Evil Island."   Piston Cup Challenge Enjoy good clean sailing fun in the cleanest regatta on the high seas with racers made from bars of soap. Parents should note that children may change locations throughout the day. When these moves (typically 15 minutes long) take place, children cannot be admitted or released from the club.
